♦ To encourage and promote citizen participation in maintaining

community safety.

♦ To honor officers of the Marco Island Police Department by

recognition at bi-monthly lunches with the Chief, including

Officer of the Quarter and Officer of the Year who’s performance is exemplary..

♦ To sponsor programs such as Neighborhood Watch including

a Quick Response Team and Traffic Control.

♦ To conduct fund raising events when appropriate.

♦ To provide scholarship funding for officers’ children and officers

continuing their education when not reimbursed fully by the city.

♦ To provide financial assistance to MIPD Officers and MIPD

Employees when deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.

♦ To build a strong membership base to accomplish this mission.
