The Officer of the Month Award was created to honor one Police Officer each month at a bi-monthly Lunch with the Chief. The Directors accept nominations directly from the Chief of Police before they vote. A list of nominees is presented to the Police Chief by administrative officers or anyone that chooses to place an officer's name into the selection process. The Directors then use varying criteria and discussion to make their final decision based on the event the officer was involved in during the course of his/her duty. Officer of the Month Awards
