The Marco Police Foundation provides services to Police Department officers and the community including the neighborhood watch program and helping with crowd and traffic control during major Island events.

The Foundation assists officers and employees of the Marco Island Police Department in emergency financial situations and also maintains a scholarship fund for officers and their children. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 corporation formed in October, 2001, and currently has 170 members. Additional Foundation officers include Vice President Richard S. Shanahan, Secretary Alicia Childs, Treasurer Kenneth J. Kubat and Executive Director Debra Sanders.
