March 2007 Officer of the Month Officer Tige Thompson:
As a result of his proactive patrol practice, Officer Thompson was able to identify and arrest numerous subjects whom he observed leaving a residence known for drug activity. Officer Thompson generated a self-initiated investigation into the activity of this residence and subsequently was successful in obtaining two search warrants for the involved location. Please join us at our May 23, 2007 luncheon when Officer Thompson will be honored for his hard work and dedication. |

During the month of March, Officer
Thompson has written in excess of twenty original incident reports and has
maintained proactive patrol duties in all aspects of policing. He has proven to
be diligent in traffic related offences, writing 132 warnings as well as 18
Uniform Traffic Citations. This number of contacts has almost doubled since the
month of February. In addition, Officer Thompson was credited for making 12
arrests for the month where he only worked fifteen days.
